Our commitment

The NCDTA is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults involved in dance, from students as young as two and a half years old through to our adult members. Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility.

Our expectations of teachers

All NCDTA-registered teachers are expected to follow safe working practice
Appropriate checks and references are expected for those working with children
Concerns should be reported promptly through the correct channels

Reporting a concern

If you have a safeguarding concern relating to an NCDTA member, teacher or event, please contact our General Secretary at secretary@ncdta.com as a matter of priority.
